To protect the youth of Kishtwar from the menace of drug addiction, Kishtwar Police acting tough on the war foot basis against the drug abuse being spread from across the District to lure the youth in the Kishtwar.
Police in Kishtwar have arrested 01 drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substances from his possession.
Acting on a tip off Kishtwar Police led by Insp Abid Bukhari SHO PS Kishtwar under the Supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Kishtwar Sh. Devindar Singh laid a special Naka at Om Mehta Road, during checking one suspicious person namely Muzaffar Hussain S/O Mehraj Din R/O Near Fitness Club OM Mehta Road Kishtwar was stopped at naka who tried to flee from spot was overpowered by police Jawans. During Search 12 strips i.e (120 Tab.) of banned Tablets were recovered from his possession.
Accordingly case FIR No. 108 U/Sec 8/21/22 NDPS stands registered at PS Kishtwar and further investigation taken up.
*SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS once again appeal to the general public, especially youths of district Kishtwar to come forward with information regarding drug peddlers/Smugglers so that the menace of drugs can be stopped*
